A SMALL SHOP THAT KEEPS ITS WORD.

Three to four houses a year. We would rather build a few honestly than many badly. Everything we do is in the open — the structure, the schedule, and the price.

Concrete living pavilion by Stillpoint, opening to the river in New Farm, Brisbane
[ Our story ]

Stillpoint started in a shed in Woolloongabba in 2009. Two carpenters, one engineer, and a tired argument with the industry: that a house should not need a glossary to understand the contract. We started quoting fixed prices when nobody else would, and we have held to it for fifteen years.

We build in the plain materials and we leave them visible — board-formed concrete, structural glass, raw steel, blackbutt. Nothing rendered over to hide a join. The point of the name is the point of the work: a still point, a thing that sits dead level and does not move. If it is holding the house up, you can see it doing the job.

[ What we hold to ]

One Price

Fixed-price contracts, no provisional sums. The number you sign is the number you pay. If we miss it, that is our problem, not yours.

One Date

We name a completion date in writing and we hit it. Forty-seven homes, forty-seven keys handed over on the day. No exceptions yet.

Nothing Hidden

Exposed structure, open books. You can read every line item and you can see every join. Honesty is cheaper than render.
